Group Senior Network Security Engineer - Firewall and Access Control (m/w/d)

Your new challenges which will inspire you:

• Designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances
• Supporting Octapharma’s Internet Firewall security and networking from centralized management and monitoring
• Supporting Octapharma’s Operational Technology (OT) network security segmentation, ensuring secure industrial network operations
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex firewall policies and access control issues
• Leading the lifecycle management of Octapharma’s network security firewall technologies
• Managing and controlling licensing for the network security platform, ensuring compliance with enterprise agreements
• Overseeing security software and hardware licensing to optimize costs and maintain continuous service availability
• Acting as the system owner of Octapharma’s Network Security platform, including: Firepower Management Center, Firepower Threat Defense and Tufin Firewall Management
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining network security policies, procedures, and associated training programs
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory security requirements
• Creating and maintaining documentation related to network security configurations, network mapping, processes, and services
• Reviewing new and existing security designs, projects, and procurement strategies to ensure alignment with best practices
• Managing licensing governance and enterprise security agreements
• Interacting with vendors, outsourced partners, and contractors to procure and optimize security solutions

Your profile that will convince us: 

• University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in network security, preferably in a global or enterprise environment.
• Expertise in firewall security, access control policies, and network segmentation
• Experience with Cisco security products, including Firepower Management Center and Firepower Threat Defense
• Strong background in troubleshooting complex firewall policies and security issues
• Relevant network and network security certifications such as CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security  (preferred)
• Fluency in English written and spoken
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

The minimum gross wage according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) for your new job is EUR 4.157,14. We strive to adapt your salary to your range of tasks and to your profile, which is why we are ready to pay wages higher than collectively agreed.
