Your main tasks and responsibilities

Develop procurement strategies for logistics, with a primary focus on temperature-controlled road freight for pharmaceutical goods, as well as Courier, Express, and Parcel (CEP) services, in close collaboration with global stakeholders

Conduct market sourcing and manage end-to-end RFQ/RFI processes for various modes of transportation and warehousing on a global scale; focusing on defined lanes and adhering to GxP regulations and the requirements of the pharmaceutical production industry

Establish comprehensive strategies for existing contract logistic vendors, managing 3PL/4PL providers with a strong emphasis on warehouse and last-mile optimization on global scale

Drive sustainable optimization of the supplier portfolio while enhancing supplier relationship management

Lead negotiations in an international environment, establishing long-term global agreements and partnerships

Ensure supplier compliance with contractual commitments, service level agreements, and performance targets, while proactively identifying risks and improvement opportunities

Leverage Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics solutions to enhance market intelligence, supplier evaluation, cost modelling, and decision-making in transport procurement

Contribute actively to achieving company-wide cost-saving targets
Your expertise and ideal skill set
- University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
- 3–10 years of experience in transport procurement and strategic logistics sourcing in healthcare environments
- Excellent negotiation skills are mandatory, and project management skills are preferred
- Fluent English language skills, and German preferred
- Preferably skills in pharma business and GxP working environment
- Proficiency in digital sourcing and analytical tools such as Excel, SAP Ariba, and Power BI; exposure to and practical application of AI technologies are considered a strong advantage
- Perseverance, strategic thinking skills, and a hands-on mentality

The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 4,270.14 based on 38 hours per week (full-time). As we strive to offer a salary that reflects your individual profile and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay above the minimum salary.
