Your main tasks and responsibilities 

 

  • Develop and implement global sourcing and contracting strategies for worldwide pharmaceutical greenfield and capacity expansion projects, including turnkey delivery models such as EPC and EPCm, as well as pharmaceutical consultancy services and technical equipment

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies in close collaboration with global IT stakeholders for group-wide functions such as Quality, R&D, Production, Engineering, and Automation within pharmaceutical manufacturing, covering IT hardware, software, and related services

  • Lead all commercial procurement activities for assigned projects, including:

    • Drafting and negotiating complex contracts

    • Reviewing technical documentation together with stakeholders and subject matter experts and preparing commercial documentation for awarding purposes

    • Managing claims in collaboration with stakeholders and specialists

    • Acting as the primary commercial interface for all project-related suppliers

  • Drive risk management activities, including supplier risk assessments, contract risk mitigation, and the negotiation of robust commercial terms

  • Lead negotiations in an international environment, establishing long-term global agreements and strategic partnerships with key suppliers

  • Develop, maintain, and present sourcing, performance reports, and KPIs, enabling transparency and data-driven decision-making at a global level

 

 

 

Your expertise and ideal skill set 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a comparable field
  • More than 6 years of in-depth strategic procurement experience with proven expertise in Category Management; experience within the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
  • Strong experience in project management; familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Highly developed stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels in an international environment
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with a proven ability to achieve sustainable business outcomes while maintaining long-term partnerships
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic mindset, combined with the ability to navigate complexity, ambiguity, and change in a structured and solution-oriented manner

The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 4.686,11 based on 38 hours per week (full-time). As we strive to offer a salary that reflects your individual profile and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay above the minimum salary.
