What will you do as a “Group Expert IT OT Backup Engineer”?

You will be joining a global team of IT experts with deep knowledge in many IT areas. As a Corporate IT Infrastructure Engineer your primary focus is to ensure the operation, reliability, and integrity of our backups operational technology (OT) systems, safeguarding critical industrial data and system across all production sites.
•    Backup Management: Operate, implement, and maintain backup solutions for OT systems.
•    Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve any issues related to backup processes and systems.            
•    Compliance: Ensure backup processes adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.            
•    Documentation: Maintain detailed records of backup configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.            
•    Monitoring: Continuously monitor backup operations to identify and address potential issues proactively.            
•    Collaboration: Work closely with IT and OT teams to align backup strategies with overall organizational goals.            
•    Capacity Planning: Plan and manage storage capacity to ensure adequate space for current and future backup needs.            
•    Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss in case of system failures.        
•    Develop, test, implement, and benchmark new backup systems, solutions, and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.      

     
Your Profile

•    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.        
•    3 to 5 years work experience in IT and/or OT
•    Experience in backup/restore of IT infrastructure components such as VMware, Windows, Linux, SQL and/or Oracle is required.    
•    Knowledge of operational technology (OT) systems are highly preferred.
•    Experience in an GxP environment preferred.    
•    Knowledge of VMware, Windows, Linux, and databases are highly preferred.            

 The departments within IT

• The department Business Technology is divided into the product teams Endpoint, Network, Data Center/Infrastructure Security, Digital Workplace and Data Protection Services and works closely with the others IT areas like Production IT and IT Security 
• Delivers infrastructure, networks and communication and ensures the operation of systems within all Octapharma locations
• The IT department ensures that IT solutions work and meet the requirements of the business
• The department Business Technology consists of 24 people, and you report to the head of the Data Protection Services platform team.

The minimum gross wage according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) for your new job is EUR 4.157,14. We strive to adapt your salary to your range of tasks and to your profile, which is why we are ready to pay wages higher than collectively agreed.
